From the upper part of the vineyard, surrounded by Domaine des Comtes Lafon. Only 40cm topsoil up here. Another fine lemon and lime colour. Good flesh is apparent even from the bouquet. Really impressive pure rich white fruit on the palate, with extra weight compared to Tête du Clos, offering luxurious cashmere without losing the tension. Very promising. A very pretty and ultra-fresh nose consists of various white orchard fruit and plenty of citrus and spice nuances. There is equally good freshness and excellent tension to the slightly richer if not quite as refined flavors that possess a caressing mid-palate mouthfeel before culminating in a lengthy, delicious and attractively clean finale. This is also lovely though it too needs to add depth.. Drink 2026+ Sweet Spot â Outstanding â Allen Meadows - Burghound

A subdued if not mute nose only grudgingly offers up notes of soft wood, matchstick, wet stone and citrus peel. There is excellent underlying tension to the powerful and concentrated yet refined flavors that are also gorgeously textured while culminating in very dry, refreshing and markedly stony finale that flirts with austerity. This perfumed and classy effort is also quite tightly wound at present and will need extended patience. This too is terrific. Drink 2028+ Sweet Spot â Outstanding â Allen Meadows - Burghound

Clear pale colour. This has an attractive fresh appeal, not the seduction of Charmes but more an intellectual pleasure. On the palate this is firmer and stricter than the Charmes but with a fine sense of detail. A leaner, steelier framework, with good natural acidity. There is a fine body of fruit here throughout. Thrilling precision here and excellent length. Jasper Morris â Inside Burgundy

A vaguely exotic and beautifully airy and elegant nose timidly offers up overtly floral aromas of essence of spiced pear and a whiff of ginger tea. There is very good mid-palate density to the impressively, indeed almost painfully, intense and mineral-driven flavors that possess a stunningly attractive mouthfeel, all wrapped in a balanced, long and tightly wound finale. This is terrific and worth your interest. Drink 2028+ Sweet Spot â Outstanding â Allen Meadows - Burghound
