Prelude Grands Crus and Château de la Marquetterie and are often considered 'Sister Wines' originating from the heart of the Champagne wine-growing region. Prelude is a blend of 50/50 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a large percentage of the Champagne being sourced from the original les Folies vineyard, and the rest coming from Grands Crus sites. The House’s very first “Champagne de Domaine”, Les Folies de la Marquetterie is a blend of Chardonnays (45%) and Pinot Noirs (55%), and is made exclusively from grapes grown at the Folies vineyard that overlooks Château de la Marquetterie, the birthplace of the Taittinger family champagne. A “green” harvest is carried out on the selected plots of vines to ensure the fruit offers optimum sweetness and aromatic maturity. After harvesting, only the juice from the first pressing is reserved. Each plot is vinified in small volumes and certain batches in oak casks. The bottles are aged for five years to bring this wine to complete harmony. Each of these wines is an hommage to the extraordinary artistic work of Taittinger - Truly one of the greatest Champagne houses.

50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay

A nose of Madagascar vanilla and sweet spice; air opens it up more and then there is a flinty, clean and increasingly seductive subtext; most impressive. In fine shape with a stately and refreshing finish. Glorious stuff! - Decanter

55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay – Natural Cork – 12.5% ABV

Lovely smoky brioche intensity on the nose. In the mouth it begins with cream, moving on to lemon meringue, then opens up further to lively acidity. Very complex, intense and concentrated. Superb potential to develop further. - Decanter
