As with so many 2007s, this is the moment to really start tasting and enjoying this wine. Exuberant aromatics with touches of cloves and orange peel that jump out of the glass. This gives a window into how the tighter vintages will be once they reach the right moment to drink - there is power, spice, juice and just so much pleasure to be had here. A little soft on the finish compared to the more concentrated vintages, so really get going and make the most of this now and over the next decade. Harvest September 25 to October 12th. Drinking Window 2020 - 2032. Tasted 27 Sep. 2020 - Jane Anson, Decanter
Deep garnet with very little brick at the rim. Spicy and still showing lots of dark fruit and an attractive graphite quality, giving it a sombre elegance. A touch of char still there on the nose. On the palate, there’s a leafy freshness and very fine silky texture. Better length than any so far tasted in this line-up as well. Fresh and supple but with the depth to age better than most. - Julia Harding MW, Jancis Robinson .com
