Very attractive second wine with blackberry, blueberry, chocolate and spice character. It’s medium-bodied with ripe tannins and a savory finish. Not quite the mid-palate concentration of the grand vin. - James Suckling

An impressive Baron de Brane with concentration and poise, juice through the finish and careful extraction so that the plentiful tannins are not intrusive. Good stuff, if austere.
