The 2019 Bellegrave from Jean-Marie Bouldy has a well defined nose marked by that gravel tincture that I often find on this Pomerol. The palate is smooth and silky on the entry, the acidity well judged with plush dark cherries and blackcurrant laced with white pepper and 5-spice on the finish. Excellent. - Neal Martin
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Bellegrave (Pomerol) opens with seductive plum preserves, blueberry pie and blackberry compote notes with touches of licorice, dusty soil, cinnamon stick and garrigue. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with juicy black fruits and loads of spicy accents, framed by plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on an aniseed note. - Wine Advocate
