Offering up aromas of wild berries, spices, raw cocoa and dried petals, Glantenay's 2019 Volnay Village is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with lively acids and a long, nicely perfumed finish. As usual, this includes two small premier cru parcels in Les Lurets and En l'Ormeau that Glantenay doesn't vinify separately and which represent around 20% of the cuvée.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

From five plots, including two small 1ers crus, Lurets and Ormeau which together make up 25% of the blend. Mid crimson colour, with a slightly smoky note which soon blows off to release the elegance of the fruit. The 2019 Volnay Village, matured in 20% new oak, shows a small reduction on the nose though there appears to be plenty of crunchy red berry fruit in situ. The palate is well balanced with crunchy red berry fruit, fine acidity and freshness, sporting Pommard-like structure and austerity towards the finish and finally graphite on the aftertaste.-Neal Martin, Vinous Media
