The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Boudriotte is more strict and detailed on the nose compared to the Clos Saint Jean, thanks to the marn soils at the top of the parcel. There is a lovely touch of fennel and garrigue that develops after five minutes in the glass. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, linear and citric with a brisk, edgy finish that should mature nicely in bottle. I feel that this will have more to offer in the future. Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate
Tasting note: A mild touch of reduction is present on the otherwise ripe peach, pear and rosemary resin aromas though it's not enough to dominate them. There is exceptionally good richness and mid-palate density to the broad-shouldered flavors thanks to the abundant amount of dry extract that buffers the perfectly well-integrated supporting acidity that shapes the dry, clean and almost salty finish. Fine quality here. 91 Allen Meadows – Burghound
