Outstanding. A mature and beautifully complex nose features plenty of yeast character along with lovely essence of pear and citrus nuances. The complexity is also apparent on the delicious, round and quite finely detailed middle weight flavors where the supporting mousse is firm but not aggressive. (60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay; disgorged in March, 2014): Bright gold. Pungent, deeply scented bouquet evokes peach nectar, poached pear, anise, brown butter and smoky minerals. Broad and densely packed, with a velvety texture and powerful orchard and pit fruit flavors that pick up a toasty element with aeration.
