Caparzo's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna la Casa opens to dark intensity with blackish-garnet undertones. The wine exhibits muscle and power with a large array of aromatic qualities that include dried cherry, spice, leather, tobacco, licorice and tar. It aspires to high complexity and intensity and it delivers on that promise. In the mouth, it shows beautifully tame tannins and a silky texture.
