A wine of joy and pure pleasure, the 2015 Carmes de Rieussec is absolutely delicious. Rieussec's second wine is bright and lifted, yet shows plenty of depth in its pineapple, orange peel, mint, jasmine and lightly honeyed notes. Although the Grand Vin gets most of the attention at Rieussec, the Carmes is truly superb in 2015 and well worth taking a look at. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
The 2015 Carmes de Rieussec has a gorgeous lemon curd, honey and apricot blossom-scented bouquet that seems to have gained a little more vivacity since I tasted it from barrel. The palate is viscous on the entry: apricot, orange pith, tangerine and touches of nougat, quite sweet and candied in the mouth but the acidity keeps everything on an even keel. Excellent. Anticipated maturity: 2020 - 2030. - Neal Martin
Composed of 87% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon Blanc and 6% Muscadelle, the 2015 Carmes de Rieussec has a pale to medium golden color and a lovely nose of lemon tart, orange marmalade and preserved apricots with hints of musk perfume and candied ginger. Medium to full-bodied, richly fruited and with compelling savory and earthy layers intermingled with the citrus preserves, it finishes with great freshness and length. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
Bright, with white peach, acacia, honeysuckle and yellow apple notes that give this a fresher profile than most of its peers, picking up candied lemon and grapefruit peel accents through the racy finish. A tasty, smaller-scale version for drinking in the near term. Drink now through 2027. 6,000 cases made. - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator
A bright and fruity with spicy, earth, dried fruit and pineapple aromas and flavors. Full and medium sweet. Wonderful finish. Second wine? This is almost too good. - James Suckling
