The 2018 Pommard Auprès du Clos, which is a "fantasy name" rather than a lieu-dit, underwent two pressings à pieds. The nose offers ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, pressed rose petals and a slight confit-like scent that develops with time. The palate is medium-bodied with lovely, bright cranberry and raspberry fruit, hints of dark chocolate and a precise, slightly ferrous finish. Neal Martin – Vinous Media
The 2018 Pommard Auprès du Clos is showing very nicely, wafting from the glass with scents of peonies, wild berries, cinnamon and orange rind—bearing the strong stamp of whole-cluster fermentation. Medium to full-bodied, layered and supple, it's a succulent, perfumed wine with lively acids and melting tannins. William Kelley – The Wine Advocate
