The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles was showing a little reduction on the nose, although underneath I found some lovely ripe cranberry and mulberry fruit mixed with fine mineral notes. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, expressive and tensile with a crisp line of acidity. I appreciate the "flow" of this cuvée and it should age well. It equals some of Philippe Charlopin's grand crus - it's that good. Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate
(from vines planted in 1930 on a cool, high-altitude site on clay and chalk, according to Charlopin): At once high-toned and slightly reduced, offering pungent scents of black raspberry and minerals. Very dense, plush, sweet and filled in; distinctly high-toned but with outstanding suavity of texture. Finishes with noble tannins for village wine. The sucrosité comes from the marl component in the soil, says Charlopin. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
