Medium-bodied and already very vibrant and polished, with aromas of white pears, lemon grass, cedar, white pepper and herbs. Fresh, herb and flinty finish. Serious Clementin. -James Suckling.

The 2021 Clémentin de Pape Clément offers up a rich bouquet of plums and berries mingled with white flowers and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, with lively acids and a nicely balanced profile, it's a blend of 49% Merlot, 49% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Merlot. -William Kelley, The Wine Advocate.

An excellent 2nd wine in the red lineup, this has a luscious covering of the tannins, raspberry and red cherry fruits and a twist of black chocolate on the finish. One to look out for. -Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux.

The 2021 Le Clémentin de Pape Clément is terrific. Silky tannins and bright, effusive aromatics grace this mid-weight second wine from the château. Hints of spice, gravel, tar, mocha, torrefaction and incense add layers of nuance, but the Clementin is a wine to appreciate for its charming, up-front personality. The 2021 is beautifully done.
