Features a beam of pure cherry augmented with floral, strawberry, iron and earth aromas and flavors. Intense from beginning to end, this is driven by racy acidity, with well-integrated tannins underneath. The long, persistent aftertaste shows its pedigree. Best from 2028 through 2047.—B.S., Wine Spectator
Tasting note: Here the ripe and fresh nose is quite floral in character with its essence of red cherry aromas where background hints of earth and the sauvage lurk. The rich, delicious and similarly scaled flavors prim with sappy dry extract that buffers the firm tannic spine shaping the moderately austere, compact and serious finish. This is a classic Bressandes that's definitely going to require some patience. Sweet Spot.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
A normal yield here. A fine open mid purple with some charm. The nose is really quite elegant, and indeed Bressandes should deliver that style of Corton. Not the most intense, but I don’t mind that in 2022. Harmonious and balanced, with good acidity. Drink from 2029-2038. Tasted Oct 2023.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
The 2022 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru, raised in around one-third new oak, initially has a tightly wound bouquet, opening gradually with time. It oers blackcurrant, raspberry and touches of blueberry. The mediumbodied palate has pliant tannins and ne acidity. It’s eshy and silky smooth in texture, lightly spiced with gentle grip on the nish. Quite a classy and succinct Grand Cru, one of the more elegant from the Domaine this vintage-Neal Martin, Vinous Media
