The 2015 Clos l'Eglise has retained a very intense bouquet with scents of blackberry, wild strawberry, briary and just a touch of cassis in the background. It is very well defined although backward. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin. This is a Pomerol with substance and presence, perhaps one of the most like its neighbor L’Eglise Clinet in terms of backbone and longevity. There is wonderful salinity toward the finish with residues of white pepper and even a slight garrigue note that lingers in the mouth. Superb, but it will need 5 or 6 years in bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2023 - 2045. - Neal Martin

A polished, rounded style, with a friendly licorice and singed vanilla frame around a core of warm cherry and plum compote flavors. Gains some juicy energy through the finish, with the fruit showing ample persistence. Best from 2021 through 2032. 1,250 cases made. -  James Molesworth, Wine Spectator

Aromatic complexity on the nose with a Burgundian nuance. The palate is fresh, fragrant and caressing, then powerful tannins provide plenty of length and drive on the finish. - Decanter

Rich, generous, delicious bramble fruit – such purity and fragrance, intermingled with clove and cinnamon and juniper and basil. Superb – really shows off the quality of the vintage, and has plentiful complexity to come. Finishes with stunning purity of fruit. - Jancis Robinson
