This is layered and serious, with intense yet subtle notes of dried pineapple, lemon, crushed stones and shells. Salty. Long and driven with vivacity and energy. So minerally, in every sense. Grabs hold of you. 71% sauvignon blanc and 29% semillon. - James Suckling

Made in a deeper, richer style, the Grand Vin white 2021 Château Cos D'Estournel Blanc offers a vivid, racy, medium-bodied, concentrated mouthfeel as well as bright, juicy notes of white grapefruit, chalky mineral, and white flowers. It brings this terrific rocky, chalky, mineral-driven style on palate, has bright acidity, and a great mid-palate. It's seriously impressive. - Jeb Dunnuck

The 2021 Cos d'Estournel Blanc is a big wine—rich, dramatic and expressive. Low yields in 2021 created a white that is deep, layered and quite potent in feel. Tangerine peel, citrus confit, marzipan and a touch of new oak give the 2021 a decidedly flamboyant, extroverted personality.- Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Clear reduction on the first nose, fragrant and with grip, does a great job of unrolling slowly and hanging on, lengthening out and delivering a drip feed of liqourice, fennel and white pepper spice to accompany the citrus-dominant fruits. Impressively moreish. Harvest September 17 to October 9. 3.09ph. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux

Such a gorgeous nose, really so aromatic filled with caramel , honey, lemon balm, cream, apricot, honeysuckle and white flowers. Generous, unctuous and driven, this is also quite sharp but in a precise way, it finds the back of the throat and takes aim delivering all the flavour at once in a straight line. I love the intensity, the drive of lemon and fragrant spice also with a wet stone bitterness that lingers. It’s not round or expansive necessarily but so confident, super juicy and mouthwatering. Lots of complexity and detail - a yummy and impressive white. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter

Including fully 29% Sémillon, the 2021 Cos d'Estournel Blanc is a terrific effort from holdings in the northern Médoc. Offering up aromas of confit citrus, crisp orchard fruit, lime zest, pastry cream and freshly braked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and incisive, with chalky structuring dry extract and a penetrating finish. There's no question that it's one of the Médoc's most interesting white wines. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

A blend of 71% Sauvignon Blanc and 29% Semillon, the 2021 Cos d'Estournel Blanc needs a little swirling to reveal notes of lemongrass, fresh lime juice, and yuzu, plus suggestions of sea spray and fennel seed. The palate has an electric backbone of tension cutting through the densely packed citrus and mineral layers, finishing with fantastic length and purity. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent

The 2021 Cos d'Estournel Blanc, bottled in December 2022, shows a bit of reduction in the glass, with touches of candle wax and lanolin infusing the yellow fruit, perhaps requiring a little more delineation. The palate is well-balanced with fine poise. This clearly has more tension and mineralité compared to the Pagodes Blanc, with a crisper finish. This is a successful white Cos d'Estournel that should age well in bottle, but one should afford it time for the aromatics to fully open. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
