This is a really racy red with blackberries and mineral. Salty undertones. Medium to full body. Really solid and precise in the center palate. Long and racy. 82% merlot, 14% cabernet franc, and 4% petit verdot. From organically grown grapes. - James Suckling

The 2022 Couvent Des Jacobins comes from a great terroir located just beside the village of Saint-Emilion. Made from 82% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot that's sill resting in 45% new oak, it has a ripe, black and blue-fruited style as well as medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, supple tannins, solid mid-palate depth, and some classic leafy herb and graphite aromas and flavors. Tasted twice with consistent notes.-Jeb Dunnuck

Composed of 82% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Couvent des Jacobins displays an opaque garnet-purple color. It explodes with bombastic notes of juicy plums, black cherry preserves, and mulberries, followed by wafts of licorice, violets, and dark chocolate. The full-bodied palate is laden with black fruit preserves, supported by velvety tannins and compelling tension, finishing long and opulent. A gorgeous expression of the vintage! - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent

Bursting with aromas of sweet blackberries, cherries, rose petals and licorice, the 2022 Couvent des Jacobins is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, with a succulent core of fruit and a seamless, enveloping profile. It will offer a broad drinking window. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Brushed velvet tannins, plenty of tannic grip and a spicy core, this has the character of the vintage, with an architecture that is a little chunky and takes its time to stretch out, but once it relaxes, the finish is long and refreshing, with edges of rosemary, sage, safffron and slate. Enjoyable. 45% new oak - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
