The 2021 Château de Carles, picked at 32hL/ha, has a pretty if slightly herbaceous nose, a touch of mint developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and pretty red berry fruit laced with spice. Cohesive on the finish, with moderate length. Fine. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 de Carles opens with notions of black cherries and raspberry coulis on the nose with touches of crushed rocks and black olives. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has plenty of red and black berry layers with rounded tannins and a lifted finish. This is made from 100% Merlot.
