A wine of exquisite beauty, the 2004 Dom Ruinart Brut Rosé has the pedigree to drink well for several decades. The 2004 is an especially vinous, textured Rosé. The berry, floral, spice and mineral-drenched flavors are finely sketched in this dramatic, strikingly beautiful Rosé from Ruinart. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

The 2004 is evolving with great dignity, displaying tints of amber and savoury notes but little sign of any real development despite its 15 years of age. This once again underlines the quality of a house style which is as supple as it is subtle. There's a little more spice here than on the 2007, with notes of pot pourri and white pepper evidenced to add complexity to the chalky substrata, the citric core bolstered by a whisper of salinity on the finish. This wine was disgorged in February 2016. - Simon Field, Decanter

Very impressive aromatic depth here, layered and complex with a nicely captured toasty, nutty edge plus lemon citrus, peach and sweet-smelling florals. The palate has restraint and purity; really smartly focused power here with ripe acidity, plenty of attractive middle-palate flesh and a long, sherbet-like finish. Dosage is the lowest ever for Dom Ruinart at just 5.5g per liter. - James Suckling

Including fully 19% red wine made from Sillery Pinot Noir, the 2004 Dom Ruinart Rosé was disgorged in February 2016 with four grams per liter dosage. Displaying complex aromas of red berries, dried orange rind, potpourri, iodine, toasted nuts and wet chalk, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and textural, with a more multidimensional, vinous profile than its Blanc de Blancs counterpart, with lively acids and a chalky finish. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Richly aromatic, with smoke and spring blossom notes wafting through the fine and creamy layers of baked strawberry, singed orange peel and candied ginger flavors, while racy acidity forms a finely meshed frame that drives this to the long, minerally finish. Disgorged February 2016. Drink now through 2029. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator

Tasted blind. Pale Aperol colour. Pretty smart toasty nose. Lovely start with rose-petal aromas. A really complete wine that is surely a tip to champagne? Reminds me a bit of Dom Pérignon rosé. - Jancis Robinson

This is a classic style, ripe with a relatively high dosage and a mature taste. Its color shows maturity while the fruitiness has been transformed into a splendid nutty, toasty wine with attractive acidity and a soft aftertaste. Drink this rich wine now. - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
