The 2011 has an expressive bouquet of blackberry, allspice, fresh strawberry and mocha that unfurls temptingly from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a cocoa-tinged entry layering the powdery tannins. There is good depth here, with a fine, spicy finish laced with red peppercorns and a little sage.
