The 2015 Chorey-les-Beaune Village, tasted from a 500-liter demi-muid, has a vivid bilberry and dark plum-scented bouquet, a hint of blue fruit coming through with time and identifying its appellation of origin. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, tight on the mid-palate with a surprisingly structured and strict finish. I would like a little more contrast by the time it is in bottle, more exuberance. Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate

Tasting note: This initially displays a touch of reduction though it quickly dissipates to reveal pretty and ripe red berry fruit and earth scents. The delicious middle weight flavors possess a lovely sense of energy that also characterizes the refreshing finish. This isn't particularly complex but it is certainly attractive in its fashion and would make for a good all-around and inexpensive house red. Allen Meadows - Burghound

(like Rully, this fruit was picked over a period of ten days and completely destemmed; Drouhin makes 2,500 cases of this wine): Bright, full red. Cool aromas of cherry, licorice and menthol. Juicy red berry flavors are accented by a hint of licorice. The tannins are firm but not dry, with the persistent finish displaying attractive perfumed lift. This makes the Rully seem a bit rustic by comparison. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
