Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Ryan reveals complex scents of red and black cherries, black raspberries and red plums with hints of garrigue, lavender, mossy bark and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is densely packed with red and black fruits, supported with a firm frame of ripe, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long. LPB - The Wine Advocate
The 2015 Pinot Noir Ryan Widdoes Vineyard is exceptionally beautiful and vivid in the glass. Bright red cherry, plum, rose petal and lavender notes abound. The Martini clone gives the wine its intriguing aromatic top notes, but there is also striking fruit intensity. The Ryan is a bit eccentric. It is also a wine that draws the taster in with its myriad shades of expression. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
"Typical Widdoes Vineyard briary fruit-filled aromatics are spicy, dark, and pure: black raspberry and black cherry with licorice, orange peel, lilac, and fresh mint. Immediate palate intensity, a real thrust and drive to the wine’s flavors. Wild berry, sweet thyme, anise, and a mineral freshness run through the wine, expanding to succulent layers of dark fruit, plush and deep with great nuance and detail. Long savory, mouthwatering finish. Wonderful clarity of flavor." Winemaker Andy Smith
