Also brilliant, the lighter salmon-hued NV Grand Cru Brut Rosé has a captivating nose of orange blossom, toasted bread, honeysuckle, dried flowers, and spice. With flawless balance, medium to full body, integrated acidity, building richness, and a great, great finish, this is another spectacular wine in the lineup to drink over the coming 10-15 years or so. Based on the 2013 vintage and disgorged in July 2019 after 60 months sur lattes, the latest release of the NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru is showing superbly, unfurling in the glass with a deep bouquet of tangerine oil, red berries, white flowers and warm brioche, with only subtle hints of the honeyed complexity to come with further age on cork. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and complete, with a layered core of ripe but beautifully defined fruit, a pinpoint mousse and a long, sapid finish. I love the light salmon color and aromas of strawberry, grapefruit, and orange peel follow through to a full body with bright acidity and clean fruit. Very dry and flavorful. Lively and fresh. A crisp and crystal clear style of rosé. - James Suckling

The NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru pulses with real energy. Cranberry, white flowers, chalk and mint give the Rosé an airy brightness, especially in the aromatics, but there is plenty of depth as well. Far from an easygoing wine, Egly's Rosé has the charm to drink well as an aperitif as well as the structure to pair with just about anything at the dinner table. Opulent aromas and flavors of smoky grilled nut and toasted brioche, baked apricot and raspberry fruit, pastry cream and crystallized honey show in this expressive rosé Champagne, yet the spine of rapierlike acidity and the satiny mousse are finely integrated, lending an elegance to the full-throttle flavor profile. Very pale coral, the Grand Cru Rose NV is a barrel fermented rosé d’assemblage based on the 2017 vintage and composed of 70% Pinot Noir of which 5% is still, and 30% Chardonnay. Redolent of ripe stone fruit, red currant, yuzu peel, honey and a faint minty note, the medium-bodied palate is hints of apricot, citrus oil and toast with softened acidity and a bitter tannic note on the finish. Disgorged July 2023, it is an Extra Brut style finished with two grams per liter dosage. Textural impressions should bear in mind that the bottle tasted at the winery was not freshly opened. - Sarah Mayo, Wine Independent
