The terrific NV Champagne Les Vignes de Vrigny is a rich, powerful, full-bodied yet incredibly elegant effort that offers a rare mix of both richness and freshness. Plenty of orchard fruits, some stone minerality, a vibrant, seamless mousse, and a crisp finish all make for a viscerally thrilling Champagne that I’m sure will keep for at least another decade. The latest rendition of Egly's NV Brut Premier Cru Les Vignes de Vrigny was disgorged in July 2019 with two grams per liter dosage after 36 months on the lees. Offering up a lovely bouquet of golden orchard fruit, dried white flowers, rock salt and a subtle touch of praline, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy and incisive, with a deep core of racy but mature fruit, a pinpoint mousse and a penetrating finish. From a parcel of 50-year-old vines in Vrigny inherited by Francis Egly's wife, this is a beautifully elegant wine that makes for a fine introduction to the house style. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
