There is excellent complexity to the well-layered nose of red pinot fruit, cherry, plum, earth and sandalwood. I very much like the mouth feel to the ripe and enveloping medium-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract that really coats the palate on the muscular and powerful finish. This moderately austere effort is old school in style and character and will definitely need time in bottle to become more civilized. Ò Allen Meadows, BH
