This is the regular bottling, racked three weeks ago, two plots by Vosne and one in Chambolle. Rich dense purple with a fine concentrated glossy fruit. A little bit of crunch behind, good tannins as well as acidity, 50% whole cluster, and good weight all the way through. Jasper Morris – Inside Burgundy
Note: from Chambolle, Vosne and Flagey fruit
Tasting note: Quite deeply colored. Liqueur-like aromas features notes of dark berries, spice, earth and a whiff of tea. There is excellent volume to the velvet-textured middle weight flavors that culminate in a mildly rustic and nicely persistent finale. Allen Meadows – Burghound
The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge, which sees 15% new oak and 40% whole cluster, has a pleasant, floral bouquet with violet scents infusing the red cherry and black currant fruit. The medium-bodied palate delivers fine tannins, especially for a generic red Burgundy, and a pretty, quite elegant finish. Recommended. Neal Martin-Vinous Media
Vine Age: Planted in 1972, 1978 and 1991
