The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras is velvety and suave, bursting with aromas of cherries, plums and berries mingled with spices, petals and licorice. Mid red purple. A marvellous density to the nose, rich in fruit and flowers together, not one of the deep dark ones. Very fluent, the whole bunch shows but gives the wine an additional bounce. Drink from 2032-2039. Tasted: November 2023.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras 1er Cru has an exquisite Vosne-like bouquet offering rose petals and violets, complementing the vivacious red fruit. Wonderful delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. Perhaps a little austere towards the finish, but I suspect that will fill out during the second winter in barrel.
