The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras 1er Cru (and it is Aux Cras, not Les Cras!) has a perfumed, floral bouquet with wilted rose petals and a touch of potpourri infusing the fragrant red berry fruit. This is very charming. The medium-bodied palate features supple ripe tannins and veins of dark chocolate toward the slightly lactic finish, offset by a keen thread of acidity. Spicy on the finish, which boasts a long aftertaste. A very fine Nuits Saint-Georges.

Tasting note: A perfumed and very pretty nose combines notes of ripe, fresh and cool red berries with a lovely array of floral elements that include rose petal, violet, lilac and lavender. The rich, intense and saline-inflected flavors possess an appealing vibrancy on the complex, balanced and persistent finale. Sweet Spot Outstanding – Allen Meadows - Burghound
