Newly separated out this year. 70% whole bunch. Rich mid purple with a lively floral perfume and excellent tension at the back, good natural acidity. Some ripe cherry with the raspberry, even a touch of fresh apple. Very long finish for village. Jasper Morris – Inside Burgundy
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Aux Vigneux has a very perfumed bouquet in which you can hardly perceive the 70% whole-cluster fruit – a testament to good winemaking. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins and quite saline and spicy in the mouth, with white pepper and sage toward the structured finish. I think Pascal Mugneret’s decision to take this out of the Vosne-Romanée Village was a good one. Neal Martin – Vinous Media
Tasting note: A similar fruit profile is present but with a broader array of spice elements. The sleeker and slightly more refined medium weight flavors also possess good energy and delineation while delivering even better depth and persistent. This is a quality and ageworthy Vosne villages worthy of your interest. Outstanding – Top Value – Allen Meadows - Burghound
