A tight and focused young wine with blackberry aromas and flavors, buttressing the cedar and dark chocolate character. Complex and subtle for the vintage.-James Suckling
The 2018 Château Grand Corbin is mostly Merlot but includes 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aging in 40% new French oak, it's a pretty, elegant Saint-Émilion that has notes of black raspberries, crushed flowers, spice, and ample minerality. Medium-bodied, with good freshness and ripe tannins, it's certainly an outstanding wine.-Jeb Dunnuck
From the same owners as classified Château Cantemerle in Haut-Médoc, this has firm, dark fruits with well built, flexible tannins. There's real structure to this wine, with high walls, and it's enjoyable and well defined.
