A marvellous entry point to the range, this has expressive aromas of ripe apple and fresh white flowers, with just a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and surprisingly lively. Produced mostly with grapes from Auxey-Duresses and St-Romain, slowly pressed in a vertical press and fermented in cask (5% new), with most of its lees. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029 - Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
Note: 85% from Meursault and Puligny Bourgogne vines and the rest from declassified St. Romain and Auxey-Duresses in equal proportions
Tasting note: There is enough reduction to dominate the underlying fruit and I would thus suggest decanting this first. More interesting are the fresh and delicious middle weight flavors that possess good mid-palate density while exuding a bracing salinity on the refreshing finale. Allen Meadows - Burghound
