Tasting note: A cool, pure and more elegant nose offers up the essence of citrus and white orchard fruit aromas that are trimmed in pretty spice wisps. The refined, energetic and almost delicate flavors exude a subtle minerality on the precise, intense and impeccably well-balanced finale. This lacy effort may be delicate, but it doesn't lack for punch or potential longevity. In brief, this is gorgeous.Sweet Spot - Outstanding - Allen Meadows - Burghound
Fruit purchased from a 0.45ha parcel within Combettes, fermented and matured at Boillot, delivering a wine of intense concentration, with profuse aromas of lemon peel and a saline edge. The wine is incisively fresh and lively on the palate, but there is plenty of fat to balance it out. This shows the quality of the site, which is located mid-slope near the border with Meursault. Another domaine wine, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes exhibits aromas of pear, orange oil, buttered toast and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, rich and elegantly enveloping, it's broad-shouldered and concentrated, with lively acids and a long, saline finish.William Kelley - The Wine Advocate
