Dense purple with a heady nose, also with plenty of oak. There are some plummy notes in the bouquet, but actually a liquid dark raspberry prevails. Really long fine finish, a perfume which sings in the glass. A lot of whole cluster here, nearly half, which integrates beautifully. I think the bouquet will be that much more refined by the time the wine reaches bottle. Tasted: November 2019 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy
Note: from two parcels that total .39 ha; they are worked by horse because there is no path for a tractor
Tasting note: A restrained but still quite spicy nose blends a mix of dark currant and plum with plenty of floral, tea and exotic nuances. The middle weight flavors are not as dense as those of the Cazetiers, but they are notably more refined while displaying focused power on the classy and impressively long finale. This is a beautiful blend of punch and finesse and a wine that should age effortlessly. Sweet Spot-Outstanding – Allen Meadows - Burghound
