The 2014 Beaune 1er Cru Clos Aigrots, reduced to three barrels this year because of the hail, has a very refined, floral bouquet with precise red cherries and crushed strawberry scents laced with limestone. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, fresh and quite marine-like in style, leading to a composed, supple, slightly tart finish. This is just a lovely Pinot Noir.
