Opaque purple-black colored, the 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion charges out of the gate with wonderfully fragrant scents of black raspberries, Morello cherries and wild blueberries with suggestions of blackcurrant pastilles, candied violets, chocolate mint and forest floor. The medium to full-bodied palate is jam-packed with red and black fruit layers, framed by firm, exquisitely ripe, velvety tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and fragrant. Just stunning! - Lisa Perotti-Brown, Wine Advocate

Not far off the 2018, the 2019 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion offers a medium to full-bodied, elegant, lively style that carries classy dark fruits, earthy minerality, a kiss of flowers and violets, nicely integrated oak, and a great finish. As with the 2018, it shines for its elegance and purity yet still brings plenty of fruit and richness. It's a beautiful wine. Tasted twice. - Jeb Dunnuck

The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion is laced with a whole range of dark red cherry, lavender, gravel, rose petal, blood orange, mint and sweet spice nuances. Deep and persistent, with fabulous balance, the 2019 has so much to recommend it. One of the signatures of Larrivet Haut-Brion is a relatively high percentage of Cabernet Franc, and the Franc character really comes through. It will be fascinating to see how things evolve as the property transitions to sustainable farming. Tasted two times. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

A full-bodied red with chewy tannins that nicely frame a full body with lots of fruit, tobacco and wet-earth character. Flavorful finish.-James Suckling

That is excellent; classic Pessac signature in that it is sleek, precise and balanced. Not as much exuberance perhaps as the 2018 but juicy, rich and enticing. You would be very happy to own this wine, it's a clear crowd pleaser. A yield of 35hl/ha.- Jane Anson, Wine Decanter
