Leflaive's village Puligny is back as a reference point for the village under new cellarmaster, Pierre Vincent. Aged in 15% new wood, this comes from five different parcels and is tangy, focussed and appealingly stony, with good freshness and palate length. Drinking Window 2020 - 2025 - Tim Atkin MW, Decanter

This sleek white exhibits fine intensity, with a honey note adding interest to the peach, lemon tart and mineral flavors. Balanced, verging on creamy in texture, offering a long, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2024. 3,500 cases made, 500 cases imported. — BS, Wine Spectator

A little bit of oak but the fruit dominates completely. Indeed, more fruit than flowers here. The winning detail is the texture but there is greater den - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village wafts from the glass with notes of lemon rind, pastry cream, white flowers and a light framing of smoky reduction. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and vibrant, with tangy acids, lovely purity and an elegant, precise profile. I suspect it will further gain in depth and dimension with additional élevage. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

A cool, reserved and elegant nose reflects notes of acacia blossom, green apple and plenty of citrus influence. Once again there is very good vibrancy and mid-palate density to the delicious and noticeably saline-infused flavors that exhibit very fine length on the clean, dry and refreshing finish. A high quality Puligny villages that should repay up to a decade of cellaring. - AM, Burghound

Restrained nose offers a spicy nuance. Youthfully withdrawn on the palate as well, but with lovely clarity and penetration and noteworthy purity of stone fruit and spice flavors. Intensely flavored, balanced and long, this village wine is still a baby. The crop level here was no more than 35 hectoliters per hectare, according to Pierre Vincent. - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media

Oak aged, 15% new on village vines. Racked to tank just before the 2018 harvest.
Finely spiced, expressive, tight, bright citrus and that precise intensity that was not in the more rounded Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon wines. This has more tension on the palate. Tangy and electric on the finish. - Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson .com
