The 2008, which was problematic from barrel tastings, has settled down beautifully, and showed very well on three separate occasions. Proprietor Michel Bortolussi has turned out a beautifully pure, deep blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that hit 13.5% natural alcohol in this vintage. Lovely texture, a plush, heady mouthfeel, and sweet blueberry and raspberry fruit with hints of blackberries, coffee, and incense are all present in this silky textured, fleshy wine, which should drink nicely for the next decade or more. - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
Medium ruby. Very ripe, fruit-driven aromas of blueberry syrup, kirsch and mocha, lifted by violet and pepper high notes. Concentrated, superripe and seamless, with black and blue fruit flavors nicely framed by harmonious acidity. Seriously dense, lush and chocolatey for 2008. Finishes with substantial tongue-dusting but smooth tannins. I'd give this two or three years in the cellar before pulling the cork.
