14% alcohol; from three different parcels; nearly totally destemmed): Good dark ruby-red. Raspberry and pepper aromas are lifted by floral, spicy and herbal nuances on the very pure, perfumed nose. Sappy red and dark berry flavors project terrific peppery energy, with a note of chocolate emerging with air. This very deep wine will need considerable bottle aging. Finishes with superb spreading tanning and palate-staining length. One of the highest in alcohol among this extraordinary set of 2016s but with plenty of buffering extract. A great Bonnes-Mares in the making, from a vintage that was generally kind to this grand cru except for some frost losses close to the village of Chambolle. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
This red is saturated with cherry, raspberry, floral, mineral and spice aromas and flavors. Shows depth, with a core of sweet fruit that builds on the palate. Sandalwood and licorice accents emerge as this expands on the long, complex aftertaste. Best from 2023 through 2045. 38 cases imported. — BS - Wine Spectator
