The 2014 Special Club Millesime is terrific. Vibrant and bursting with energy, the 2014 is so alive. Bright saline notes give this 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay Champagne tons of drive. Time in the glass brings out the wine's striking textural resonance and overall depth, with pretty exotic spice and floral overtones that add the final shades of dimension. The Spécial Club is consistently the most sophisticated wine of the cellar, as befits its status as a vintage-dated prestige cuvée.
