“I am convinced that 2009 is of the same pedigree as 2002” - Benoit Gouez, Moët & Chandon cellar master
A sleek, creamy Champagne, with an expressive range of toast, apricot, candied Meyer lemon zest, cassis and pastry cream set in a tightly-knit and racy frame. This offers personality now, but the focus and concentration recommends it to the cellar as well. Disgorged February 2017. Drink now through 2030. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator
Taking advantage of the natural richness of this vintage, this wine is ripe and soft, hinting at yeastiness as well as retaining plenty of attractive acidity. This balanced wine is powerfully rich and ready to drink now. - Wine Enthusiast
Moët’s 2009 Extra Brut Grand Vintage is radiant, supple and voluptuous, with all of the generosity of the year front and center. Candied lemon, almond, chamomile, brioche and baked apple tart develop in a rich, inviting champagne that will drink beautifully upon release. A wine of pure and total pleasure, the 2009 is one of those Champagnes that disappears in an instant. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
Some houses have threaded this riper vintage into a handy cuvée and Moët is one of these. Ripe-pear and toasted-brioche aromas here, while the palate has attractive, vinous, fleshy fruit. Peach and light cherry notes to close. Drink or hold. - James Suckling
Fine and rather majestic with an attractive savoury spine. Lots of fun and bumptious fruit and attraction. Lightly bitter finish. Quite long. A very good Grand Vintage. Melon-like fruit. - Jancis Robinson
