Pierre Morey and his family produce distinguished wines from a relatively small amount of vineyard holdings they own themselves, as well as their negoce operation, Morey-Blanc. He gained experience as a sharecropper for Comtes Lafon in Meursault and as an estate manager or regiseur, for Domaine Leflaive, and it was through these roles that he found access to some of the most famed vineyards in the world.

The 2017 Meursaul les Terres Blanches, from a single parcel just under Goutte d’Or, has a delightful bouquet with crushed stone, hazelnut and hints of dried honey. The palate is beautifully balanced with seamlessly integrated oak (around 20% new). This has such harmony and grace, very focused with a precise and long, dried pineapple tinged finish.
