Picked with the must weight of 272° Oechsle, the 2015 Rieslaner Trockenbeerenauslese Haardter Herzog 272° is a selection of almost black raisins that just consisted of ripe seeds and shriveled skin, with almost no juice, Winemaker Martin Franzen explains. The bouquet is very clear, aromatic and spicy, but stunningly pure and fresh, with grapefruit flavors. Oily, if not even denser in its viscosity, this is a very rich and concentrated Rieslaner with a great sweetness and concentration, but also a remarkable acidity.
