Pernot owns over three hectares in this climat, and the 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières is his largest cuvée. Offering up aromas of musky peach, citrus blossom, mandarin, ripe lemon and beeswax, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with a layered mid-palate, succulent acids and a moderately intense finish. This is a textbook Folatières in Pernot's accessible, front-loaded style. William Kelley – The Wine Advocate
Bright lemon-yellow. Highly aromatic, expressive aromas and flavors of yellow peach, ripe citrus fruits, flowers and spices, with a hint of orange juice emerging with air; less obviously oaky than the Chalumeaux. Quite silky and fine-grained, with harmonious acidity contributing to the wine's impression of softness and refinement. Tightens up on the back end, finishing with noteworthy force and excellent length. A beauty in the making Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
Tasting note: There is a subtle but easily noticeable hint of the exotic on the ripe and expressive nose of both white and yellow orchard fruit that is trimmed in notes of gardenia and passion fruit. The lilting, even silky, middle weight flavors flash plenty of minerality on the bitter lemon, long and more complex finish. Outstanding – Allen Meadows - Burghound
