Very fine tannins with berries and currants. Fresh flowers. I really like the fine texture to this for a second wine. Pretty is the word. - James Suckling

A rich, opulent, incredibly concentrated second wine, the 2022 Pavillon De Léoville Poyferré (65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot) sports a dense purple hue as well as a great perfume of blueberries, blackberries, roasted tobacco, chocolate, and gravelly earth. It's full-bodied, has a layered, mouthfilling texture, and a great finish. I'd happily drink a bottle on release and anytime over the coming 10-15 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

The 2022 Pavillon de Léoville-Poyferré is a very serious second wine. Swaths of tannin wrap around a core of dark fruit in this virile SaintJulien.
