Pierre Morey Meursault Perrieres 1er Cru 2014 (750ML)
Critic Scores, Reviews & Descriptions
A pungent nose combines notes of petrol, menthol, wood toasty with those of citrus, lavender and an interesting hint of sandalwood. As with the Tesson this is a very concentrated and serious effort with an almost pungent minerality along with driving energy that makes for an explosively long finish. Patience required. Outstanding - Allen Meadows, Burghound
Pierre Morey and his family produce distinguished wines from a relatively small amount of vineyard holdings they own themselves, as well as their negoce operation, Morey-Blanc. He gained experience as a sharecropper for Comtes Lafon in Meursault and as an estate manager or regiseur, for Domaine Leflaive, and it was through these roles that he found access to some of the most famed vineyards in the world.
