Rodolphe Péters, who now heads the Pierre Péters estate, wants to prove that it is possible to make great wines without necessarily displaying the vintage on the label, although there is a coded hint in this instance indicating the year of the base wine. This cuvée pays homage to his son, Victor, and is produced with 100% Chardonnay from the prestigious Les Chétillons parcel harvested in 2012, blended with a small portion of wine from the family's perpetual reserve. The bouquet exudes energy and notes of candied lemon, flowers, spices and white pepper, but it is its underlying florality that comes to the fore after aeration. On the palate, there is a crystalline texture with chalky tension leading the way to a mouthwatering finish.
