Dry, yes but with softness as well, this is a finely judged Champagne. The balance is between the fruit, mineral texture and generous ripeness. The bottling could do with some aging, drink from 2023. - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast

A layered and complex Champagne with pie crust, lemon peel, dried apple, pineapple tart and subtle spice notes. Sleek bubbles. Creamy and delicious. Drink now. - James Suckling

(roughly equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier; zero dosage; L22641980F): Light yellow-gold. Aromas of candied lime, green apple and jasmine expand with aeration, picking up notes of tarragon, ginger and fresh fig. Dry, tightly wound citrus and orchard fruit flavors are underscored by a chalky mineral quality that gains strength on the back half. Finishes dry but broad and fleshy, leaving a gentle floral note behind. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media

A bright and balanced bubbly, offering smoke and toast notes underscoring flavors of lemon curd, poached apricot and candied ginger. Lively finish. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Drink now. 9,000 cases imported. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator

A particularly good value. - Robert Parker, Jr. - Wine Advocate

Launched in 2001, the Rich cuvée sits between sec and demi-sec in its sweetness, with 34 g/L of sugar bestowing rich notes of tarte tatin and sour honey, but far from overwhelming in its indulgence. A hard category to get right this, especially as most Champagnes rely more and more on natural ripeness, and have, as a result, lowered their dosage. Pol, needless to say, is spot on; the wine is very complete in its own right, but, most importantly, gastronomically intelligent and versatile. A generous 25% of reserve wine underlines the seriousness of intent, confirming this aspiration through the sheer depth and complexity of flavour on display. - Simon Field, Decanter

Cooked apple, biscuit, savoury and long. Delicious salted-bread aftertaste. The absolute prototype of champagne, and I appreciate the generous dosage. (RH)
