Roulot Meursault 2015 (750ML)

The 2015 Meursault Village, which comes mostly from Clos de Baronne, was ready for bottling (essentially the finished wine). It has a crisp lime flower and red apple scented bouquet, later just a hint of grilled almond that enhanced the complexity. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity that cuts through the surprisingly mineral-rich citrus fruit. There is a lovely saline tang that lingers on the finish. Cask sample. Several plots including 80% Clos de la Baronne (bought with Lafon).
Less expressive on the nose currently than the Bourgogne Blanc though doubtless it will get there. Great raciness and some green sherbet character. Almost gassy. Lots to play for. Jancis Robinson
