This is spicy and chocolaty with a medium to full body. Firm tannins with some chewiness to it. Chalky finish. Racy. Next to Pavie. Traditional. - James Suckling
An estate that has been on the uptick of late, the 2022 Château Saint Georges (Côtes Pavie) looks to be another gorgeous wine from this château. Darker cherries, red plums, spring flowers, and spice all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a silky, layered mouthfeel and ripe tannins. - Jeb Dunnuck
The 2022 Saint-Georges Côte Pavie is a notable success for this beautifully situated hillside terroir. Offering up aromas of cherries, wild berries, spices and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, with powdery tannins and a long, mineral finish. As usual, it's a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
Highly charged, turned up to 11 in its slate, crushed rock, liquorice and cassis character. It doesn't exactly soften through the palate, but what happens is that the fresh acidities rise to meet it. Impressive, with character. 30% new oak. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
The 2022 Saint Georges Cote Pavie, 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color. It leaps with bold notions of black raspberries, kirsch, and blueberry preserves, followed by hints of violets and star anise. The medium to full-bodied palate has a refreshing backbone and plush tannins to support the bright red and black berry layers, finishing with a skip in its step. - The 2022 Saint Georges Cote Pavie, 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color.
