Secret Squirrel Red Mountain Red Blend 2012 (750ML)
Critic Scores, Reviews & Descriptions
Secret Squirrel is a new venture from the Corliss family who brings us Corliss Estate and Tranche wines. Those from Tranche are modestly priced and highlight fruit from the Blue Mountain Estates with a focus on Rhone style blends. The famed Corliss Estate wines are sourced from the Red Mountain vineyards and are some of the best wines Washington has to offer with prices to match.
There is an abundant amount of excellent fruit coming from the Corliss Family estates which led to the creation of Secret Squirrel. Don't let this goofy label fool you the wine is seriously good!
This wine is a blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 13% Cab Franc, 11% Petite Verdot, and 7% Malbec. The oak treatment was 65% new French Oak for 28 months. -GVWM Team
Some wines just aren't meant to be circulated among your average party guests. You know, the ones content to fill their glass to the rim with whatever's in arm's reach. Sometimes you need a good wine to discreetly hide behind the espresso machine and snag for those like-minded associates who love to share a good secret. -Winery
